Setting up your Fisherman FD1+ drone properly is crucial for safe and efficient operation. Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure you're ready for your fishing adventures:
1. Unboxing and Initial Setup
Inside the box, you’ll find:
- SwellPro Fisherman FD1+ drone
- Remote controller
- Drone battery and charger
- Set of propellers
- Prop wrench
2. Charging the Drone Battery
- Connect the black cable to the black port and the red cable to the red port on the charger.
- Plug the balancer cable into the last slot on the charger.
- Set the charger to a maximum of 4 amps (recommended: 2.5 amps for battery longevity).
- Wait for the charger to beep and display “FULL.”
3. Preparing the Remote Controller
- Insert 4 fresh AA batteries into the battery compartment on the back of the remote controller.
4. Installing the Drone Battery
- Push the drone battery firmly into the battery slot.
- Close the watertight hatch and lock it securely.
5. Attaching the Propellers
- Propellers are marked A or B.
- Match the markings on the propellers with the corresponding motors.
- Tighten each propeller by hand, then use the prop wrench to secure them further.
6. Setting Up the Payload Leash
- Create a short dropper loop as a payload leash.
- Attach the loop to the swivel hook on the drone.
- Place your bait on the hook and secure the loop.
- Press the payload switch on the remote to secure the payload.

- Ensure all switches on the remote are in the up position.
- Power on the remote controller first.
- Turn on the drone; it will automatically calibrate itself.
- Wait for the drone to connect to at least 9 GPS satellites (check the display on the remote).

- Remote Voltage: Keep above 4.5V.
- Drone Battery Voltage: Keep above 24V.
- GPS Signal: Ensure at least 9 satellites are connected.
9. Flight Controls

- Up/Down: Controls vertical movement.
- Left/Right: Rotates the drone left or right.

- Up/Down: Moves the drone forward/backward.
- Left/Right: Moves the drone horizontally.
10. Flying and Dropping Payload
- Stand 3 meters away from the drone.
- Push the joysticks down and in to start the motors.
- Fly the drone to your desired location.
- Press the payload switch to release the bait.
- Activate the Return to Home (RTH) switch to bring the drone back automatically.
11. Powering Off the Drone
- Push and hold the left joystick down for several seconds to stop the motors.
- Alternatively, push both joysticks down and outward for a quicker shutdown.
12. Post-Flight Care
- Rinse the drone thoroughly with fresh water to remove sand and salt buildup.
- Never skip this step to ensure the longevity of your drone.
