Description

The Matrice 400 is DJI's flagship enterprise drone, built for teams who can't afford blind spots or dead batteries. It delivers up to 59 minutes of flight time, carries up to 6 kg across as many as seven payloads at once, and uses rotating LiDAR paired with six-direction mmWave radar to sense obstacles down to power-line thickness in every direction.

Long-range missions are backed by DJI's O4 Enterprise Enhanced transmission system and airborne relay video, keeping the link alive even over mountainous terrain. Onboard intelligence — visual and thermal model detection, AR-projected maps and power lines, real-time terrain following, and ship-based takeoff and landing — cuts down manual workload on complex jobs. Automated tools like power line follow, slope route, and geometric route planning make repeat inspections faster and more consistent.

Rated IP55 and built to fly in temperatures from −20°C to 50°C, the Matrice 400 is suited to emergency response, power line inspection, large-scale mapping, and AEC work where reliability isn't optional.

DJI Matrice 400 delivers up to 59 minutes of forward flight with a Zenmuse H30T, alongside a maximum horizontal speed of 25 m/s, ascent speed of 10 m/s and descent speed of 8 m/s.

Its TB100 intelligent batteries are rated for up to 400 charge cycles, while the compatible BS100 battery station supports three-battery cycle charging to streamline demanding field operations.

A maximum payload of 6 kg and support for up to seven simultaneous payloads give professional teams the flexibility to combine cameras, sensors and specialist equipment.

DJI lists compatibility with Zenmuse H30, H30T, L2 and P1 payloads, Zenmuse S1 spotlight, Zenmuse V1 speaker, Manifold 3 and supported third-party ecosystem interfaces. Payload capacity varies with connector, fastening method and operating altitude.

Obstacle awareness at power-line level

The sensing architecture combines omnidirectional binocular vision, horizontal rotating LiDAR, upper LiDAR, a downward 3D infrared sensor and six-direction mmWave radar.

Designed for challenging infrastructure environments, the system supports power-line-level obstacle sensing under the conditions specified by DJI. The aircraft is IP55 rated and operates from -20°C to 50°C without solar radiation.

Smart Detection works with visible and thermal imaging, while AR projection can display maps, power lines and return paths.
