Description

The DJI Matrice 4TD is built for teams that need to see what's invisible to the naked eye. It pairs a wide-angle camera, medium tele camera, tele camera, and Laser Range Finder with an infrared thermal camera and a new NIR auxiliary light, making it purpose-built for infrastructure inspections, emergency response, and public safety work — day or night.

Flight endurance runs up to 54 minutes forward flight time, with IP55-rated dust and water resistance and low-noise, anti-ice propellers keeping it operational from −20°C to 50°C. An onboard obstacle sensing module combines rotating LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar for obstacle avoidance down to 12mm wire-level precision at speeds up to 15 m/s, with enhanced positioning in low light.

The Matrice 4TD is the first DJI drone series to introduce airborne relay, keeping video transmission smooth even without a 4G signal or in obstructed conditions — ideal for search-and-rescue and remote inspection work. Its medium tele camera can detect screws and cracks from 10 meters away, while the tele camera captures readable detail on signs and markings from up to 250 meters. Intelligent features include RGB and thermal-based vehicle and vessel detection and counting, AR-projected maps and return-to-home routing, custom object detection models, and real-time laser marking and measurement.

It flies manually with the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise, or standalone and fully automated when docked with DJI Dock 3 — giving operations teams a single platform for both hands-on missions and remote, scheduled flights.

DJI Matrice 4TD delivers up to 54 minutes of forward flight and 47 minutes of hover time, with a maximum horizontal speed of 21 m/s in Sport Mode and a maximum operating radius of 10 km.

One aircraft, four ways to see

DJI Matrice 4TD integrates a 48MP wide-angle camera, 48MP medium tele camera, 48MP tele camera and an uncooled VOx thermal camera on a fixed 3-axis mechanical gimbal, alongside an NIR auxiliary light and a laser rangefinder.

The medium tele camera can identify defects such as cracks and pins from around 10 metres, while the tele camera resolves readable detail from up to 250 metres. The thermal camera supports spot and area temperature measurement from -20°C to 500°C, with UHR Infrared Image mode for higher-resolution thermal capture.

The Matrice 4TD's sensing architecture combines an omnidirectional binocular vision system with a downward 3D infrared sensor, covering forward, backward, lateral, upward and downward obstacle detection.

The aircraft is IP55 rated and operates from -20°C to 50°C. An optional Obstacle Sensing Module, combining rotating LiDAR and mmWave radar, is available as an accessory upgrade for precise 12mm wire-level obstacle avoidance at speeds up to 15 m/s in complex power-line environments.

DJI Matrice 4TD supports Night Scene mode and an IR-Cut filter for full-colour and black-and-white night vision, plus an NIR auxiliary light for illumination up to 100 m.
